Wolfgang Neumann

Wolfgang Neumann`s paintings are strongly influenced by our time and the media surrounding everyone´s life. However they do not aim at ostensible criticism of society. They rather present themselves as conclomerations of questionableness and conspicuities. Therefore the impact on the observer is like a kind of optical digesting procedure. With brisk brush line and strong, or even dissonant, colours the painter creates a sort of remix of media short-circuits on the surface of his canvases. The results are subversive and grotesque landscapes full of stubborness and irony.
