Miss Kenichi
Hallmarks in the works of Miss Kenichi are plainly sketched
faces and figures which resemble the protagonists in Japanese Manga comics. Finely drawn motives also
appear in her paintings. But there Miss Kenichi provides further interpretation and
levels of perception by adding word and text fragments. Oscillating between abstraction and concreteness
her works are convincing testimonials of a self-confident interpretation of contemporary popular
culture. Being an artistic all-rounder, Miss Kenichi also successfully works as an
actress and as a musician. In 2001 she cemmenced her studies with Professor Chevalier at the National Academy of Arts
Stuttgart.
